Apply to join the Resounding Love choir!

Resounding Love is an intentionally multiracial, interfaith, and LGBTQIA-embracing social-justice choir based in South Seattle. Our songs are sung SAT (soprano / alto / tenor, no bass). If interested in potentially joining as a member, please read on for more details.

  • Prospective new members are first asked to review our core values. We ask all members to sign a commitment form pledging to uphold these values.

  • If still interested, email loveresounding@gmail.com for the dates of upcoming virtual information sessions and in-person auditions. All prospective new members need to attend one of each to ensure alignment with the styles of music we sing, learn more about us (and you!), and make sure your questions are answered about what membership entails. Your audition will consist of a ~60-second, unaccompanied (a capella) piece from an African-American musical tradition such as blues, jazz, spirituals, gospel, R&B, soul, protest songs, etc. that showcases your range and ability. Optional expert coaching will be available prior to your audition.

  • We usually hold two open-enrollment opportunities per year - around February and August - for season kickoffs in early March and early September. We take a break in July and August.

Get involved in a progressive arts organization that is working toward a more just, equitable, and inclusive world by joining our Board of Directors.

Our Board is an energetic, creative, knowledgeable, connected, and visionary group who is passionate about social change through the arts. They ensure that we do our best work possible in pursuit of our mission:  to foster racial healing, co-laboring toward social justice for all, and transformative experiences through music and other forms of artistic expression.

We’re looking for board members with one or more of the following qualities:

  • Experience in anti-racism work

  • CPA or financial background or legal background

  • Interest in or experience with fundraising and donor cultivation

  • Experience in the arts, particularly but not limited to choral music

  • Prior board or executive leadership experience a plus
